WORLD OF DANCE

World of Dance is a Tustin, California-based dance company co-created by Dave Gonzales, President, and Myron Marten, now VP of Global Operations founded in March 2008. The World of Dance Tour is the largest urban dance competition in the United States focusing on the art of street dance and choreography, taking place in 14 cities in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Dancers

The World of Dance stage consists of some dance groups and choreographers. Many of these dance groups that have competed or performed in World of Dance also have participated in some of the most popular nationally televised dance competitions such asAmerica's Best Dance Crew (ABDC). In addition, all six ABDC's champions—JabbaWockeeZ, Super Cr3w, Quest Crew, We Are Heroes, Poreotics, and I.aM.mE—have participated in World of Dance either as competitors, judges, or guest performers. Other dance crews and troupes who have been featured on ABDC such as Kaba Modern, SoReal Cru, Phunk Phenomenon, Mos Wanted Crew, and Instant Noodles have performed at the World of Dance.

World tour

World of Dance Tour showcases a variety of different styles of urban dance and has become the largest international urban dance competition.

Les Twins, a pair of unknown dancing brothers from France, became recognized in the community after their performance at World of Dance stage went viral on the internet. They were later accepted by the whole United States market. 2011 was an important year for World of Dance because this was the year they broke out into the international market. This led to international World of Dance Tour.

Step Up 5 Already in the Works Producer Adam Shankman says ‘If I have to come up with one more reason for people to save the world one dance at a time, I will kill myself.   Step Up Revolution, the fourth Step Up dance film, is out July 27 but producer Adam Shankman revealed they are already working on Step Up 5. Shankman was promoting the movie he directed, Rock of Ages, this weekend, and shared his humorous frustrations with coming up with a fifth dance story. “They just talked to me because they love the movie so much, they just talked to me about 5,” Shankman said. “I was like, ‘If I have to come up with one more reason for people to save the world one dance at a time, I will kill myself. I can’t do it anymore.’ But people keep coming, they’re going to keep making them. Do you know how well these movies do internationally? It’s crazy.” High class problems. Shankman did give us some details on why Step Up Revolution will leave us hungry for more. “It is the best dancing by far we’ve had in any of the movies,” he started. Wait, even more awesome than Step Up 3D? They had that robot guy! “Yeah, because now we’ve put back what we did in the first one which is we put a ton of different styles in there. [Choreographer] Travis Wall does all this contemporary stuff, [choreographers] Jamal [Sims], Chris Scott. Literally it’s sexier. We put more real story back into it because it was starting to go off the rails a little bit.”

It’s the world’s most celebrated dance event. Over two thousand of the world’s best dancers will come together in Las Vegas for the 2013 World Hip Hop Dance Championship August 6 – 11, an event true to the real values of hip hop culture. Crews and MegaCrews from 35-40 nations will compete to capture the world title and international bragging rights while hip hop icons, artists and celebrities will be there too for all the fun and excitement.



The six-day event schedule includes panel discussions featuring respected living legends and icons of hip hop dance, the Chill Down Lounge for dancing after the evening competitions have concluded, the presentation of the Living Legend of Hip Hop Award and the Urban Moves dance workshops presented by the most celebrated hip hop dancers and choreographers. Above all, street dancers meet others from around the world equally passionate about hip hop culture and dance.

REGLAMENTO DE LA COMPETENCIA

IRON B BOY BATTLE 2013 14 JULIO 2013



Como toda competencia, existen unas normas que tanto participantes, como jurado y público deben conocer.


Aunque en otras ocasiones Dinasty Clan ha organizado y participado de eventos de este estilo, es en el IRON B-Battle cuando se compromete con todos los participantes en dejar bien claras nuestras reglas y pautas para el buen funcionamiento.


El día 6 de julio, viernes, se celebrará un encuentro con los participantes y el jurado para explicar todas estas normas, la organización y aclarar las dudas.


Normas generales para todos los bboys, bgirls y crews:

• Sólo pueden participar quienes estén inscritos en la competencia. La fecha limite es el día 13 de julio.

• No hay edad mínima ni máxima para la inscripción de participantes. Igualmente es una competencia para ambos sexos.

• Los competidores deben llegar al campeonato entre las 1:30 pm y las 2.30 pm del día 14 de julio, a la sala principal de teatro del Centro Cultural Narciso González.

• Antes y durante la competencia no está permitido agredir verbal o físicamente al oponente o jurado, esto amerita la eliminación y retirada del recinto.

HIP HOP

es un movimiento artístico que surgió en Estados Unidos a finales de los años 1960 en las comunidades afroamericanas y latinoamericanas de barrios populares neoyorquinos como Bronx, Queens y Brooklyn. El DJ Afrika Bambaataa subrayó los cuatro pilares de la cultura hip hop: MC, DJ, breakdance y grafiti. Otros elementos incluyen el beatboxing. 

La música hip hop o rap es un género musical que se desarrolló como parte de la cultura hip hop, y se define por cuatro elementos estilísticos: MC, DJ/turntablism, sampling (o sintetización de sonido) y beatboxing. El hip hop comenzó en el South Bronx de Nueva York a comienzos de los años 1970. El término rap suele utilizarse como sinónimo de hip hop, si bien hip hop también hace referencia a las prácticas de toda esta subcultura.
