RD Dance: WORLD OF DANCE

World of Dance is a Tustin, California-based dance company co-created by Dave Gonzales, President, and Myron Marten, now VP of Global Operations founded in March 2008. The World of Dance Tour is the largest urban dance competition in the United States focusing on the art of street dance and choreography, taking place in 14 cities in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

Fashion

Every year, fashion brands are invited to flog merchandise ranging from shoes, clothes, and accessories to event attendees. For the new year of 2012, they launched new stuff, music, merchandise, and accessories for their new store website.

Dancers

The World of Dance stage consists of some dance groups and choreographers. Many of these dance groups that have competed or performed in World of Dance also have participated in some of the most popular nationally televised dance competitions such asAmerica's Best Dance Crew (ABDC). In addition, all six ABDC's champions—JabbaWockeeZ, Super Cr3w, Quest Crew, We Are Heroes, Poreotics, and I.aM.mE—have participated in World of Dance either as competitors, judges, or guest performers. Other dance crews and troupes who have been featured on ABDC such as Kaba Modern, SoReal Cru, Phunk Phenomenon, Mos Wanted Crew, and Instant Noodles have performed at the World of Dance.

World tour

World of Dance Tour showcases a variety of different styles of urban dance and has become the largest international urban dance competition.

Les Twins, a pair of unknown dancing brothers from France, became recognized in the community after their performance at World of Dance stage went viral on the internet. They were later accepted by the whole United States market. 2011 was an important year for World of Dance because this was the year they broke out into the international market. This led to international World of Dance Tour.

WOD 2012 Industry Awards

Decade of Dance Award – Napoleon and Tabitha D'umo (Nappytabs) were recognized for their achievement and dedication to the hip-hop dance community.^[17]
Best Junior Team Award – Chi-Town's Finest Breakers were honored as the Best Junior Team of the year.^[18]
Teen Choreographer of the year – 16 year old Chachi Gonzales was named Teen Choreographer of the Year.^[19]
Team of the Year - Mos Wanted Crew was nominated for Team of the Year.^[20]
